The Punicorn, a turbocharged 1994 Geo Metro

This is our founder's daily driven, turbocharged 1994 Geo Metro. This little beastie is powered by the original 1.0L 3cyl engine with... "a few" custom touches. The powertrain consists of a moderately built Suzuki G10 long block, IP built intake and exhaust manifolds, a K03 turbo, and a rebuilt Suzuki 5 speed transmission. Controlling all of this tiny madness is an IP built custom ECU running the versatile Speeduino firmware. To get all of the necessary engine data, IP built a custom "flying magnet" crank trigger, converted the distributor into a camshaft position sensor, and added an AEM wideband O2 sensor in the custom downpipe. The ECU in turn, drives three LS style ignition coils, 330cc/min Toyota fuel injectors and manages boost using a simple 3-port MAC valve. Airflow is regulated by a matched Subaru drive-by-wire throttle body and pedal using an IP built DBW controller.
